“Grief is not something that needs to be fixed.
It is something that asks to be witnessed.”
Loss changes us.
Sometimes it arrives through the death of someone we love.
Sometimes through the ending of a relationship, the loss of health, a dream that never came to be, retirement, a changing identity, or simply the quiet realisation that life has become different from the one we imagined.
Whatever the shape of your grief, you do not have to carry it alone.
The Grief Circle is a gentle online gathering where people come together to speak, to listen, to reflect,
and to discover that they do not have to carry their grief alone. Here, every story is welcome because grief comes to us in many forms.
When we hear the word grief, we often think first of the death of someone we love. Yet Grief is much wider than bereavement.
Many of us carry losses that are unseen by others.
- You may be grieving…
- the death of a loved one
- the ending of a relationship
- the loss of health or independence
- retirement or the loss of purpose
- children leaving home
- infertility or miscarriage
- trauma
- spiritual crisis
- hopes that never came to fruition
- the life you imagined
- the person you once were
Throughout our lives we experience many endings. Sometimes these losses arrive suddenly. Sometimes they accumulate quietly over many years until we realise we have been carrying grief for a very long time.
Whatever your story, your grief is welcome here.
What happens in the circle?
Each month we gather online in a small community of compassion. No two circles are the same.
While each gathering offers a gentle theme or reflection, the wisdom of the group and the realities of our lives shape where we journey together.
Together we may explore:
Together we explore…
🌿 Speaking our stories
🌿 Deep listening and compassionate presence
🌿 Naming our grief
🌿 Living alongside loss
🌿 Love that continues
🌿 Hope, meaning and new beginnings
There is never any pressure to speak.
Some people come to share.
Others simply come to listen.
Both are equally welcome.
Grief as Sacred Companion
Each month a ‘sacred question’ will form our theme in community.
For example…
- What story is waiting to be told?
- What loss is asking for my attention today?
- What part of my story longs to be witnessed?
- What am I still carrying alone?
- How has grief changed me?
- What love continues?
- What is grief teaching me?
- How do I live fully while carrying loss?
Every grief deserves a witness.
Every story deserves to be heard
A Sacred Space
For many years I have facilitated circles exploring conscious ageing, forgiveness, spirituality and life’s transitions. Again and again I have witnessed the quiet wisdom that emerges when people gather with openness, courage and compassion. The Grief Circle has grown naturally from that experience and I have come to believe something very simple.
There is wisdom in being witnessed. There is healing in community.
When we gather with honesty, compassion and deep listening, we discover that our grief connects us rather than isolates us.
As Ram Dass wrote,
“We’re all just walking each other home.”
The Grief Circle is offered in that spirit.
Why a Circle?
I have facilitated circles for many years and continue to be deeply moved by what unfolds when people gather with openness and respect.
Again and again I witness the quiet transformation that becomes possible when people feel safe enough to speak honestly, listen deeply, and simply be present with one another.
My role is not to offer solutions or remove grief. It is to gently hold a space where every person is welcomed, every story is honoured, and where we can discover, together, that we do not have to carry our grief alone.
Who is this circle for?
I believe that healing happens in relationship. When grief is witnessed with compassion rather than carried alone, something begins to soften.
This circle is for anyone living with loss.Whether your grief is recent or many years old…
Whether you are grieving someone you love, a relationship, a dream, your health, your identity or a significant life transition…
Whether you come to speak or simply to listen…
You are warmly welcome.
Every grief is welcome.
- There is no hierarchy of loss.
- Every story deserves to be heard.
- You may speak or simply listen.
- Confidentiality is honoured.
- We move gently.
- We make room for silence, tears, laughter, memory and hope.
We are not here to fix one another. We are here to accompany one another.
Whether your grief is recent or decades old…
Whether you come to speak or simply to listen…
Whether your loss has a name or is something you cannot yet put into words…
There is a place for you here.
You do not have to walk this path alone.
